We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Student Support Officer on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term basis. In this role, the successful candidate will be primarily based at our campus location and will play a vital part in enhancing the student experience by providing guidance, assistance, and resources to help students succeed in their educational journey.
As a Student Support Officer at Stanley College, your day-to-day responsibilities will typically involve:
- Acting as a primary point of contact for student enquiries regarding academic, administrative, and general support services.
- Assisting students in navigating institutional policies, procedures, and available campus resources.
- Facilitating orientations, workshops, and support programs designed to improve student retention and engagement.
- Collaborating closely with academic and administrative staff to identify students requiring additional guidance and connecting them with appropriate internal or external services.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with institutional guidelines and privacy standards.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of student support services through feedback collection and administrative assistance.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a patient and empathetic approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively within a diverse educational environment. Previous experience in a student services, administrative, or customer-focused support role is highly regarded.
