Medical City Plano is seeking a dedicated Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team in Plano, Collin County. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes for surgical oncology patients throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
Key responsibilities and qualifications for this position include:
- Providing comprehensive nursing care specifically tailored to patients undergoing surgical procedures related to oncology.
- Collaborating effectively with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans.
- Monitoring patient vitals, managing post-operative pain, and assessing recovery progress.
- Educating patients and their families regarding post-discharge care, symptom management, and treatment expectations.
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Adhering to professional nursing standards and state licensing requirements.
