Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA is seeking a dedicated and skilled professional for a full-time Surgical Tech Cardiac position. Higher pay rates are now available for all qualified Certified Surgical Technologist candidates, alongside an eligible sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 based on experience.

This is a full-time position scheduled for three 12-hour shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with required call on an assigned scheduled basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in the surgical suite by assisting cardiac and other surgical teams to deliver excellent patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

Demonstrating foundational knowledge and skills in the scrub role to provide direct assistance during surgical procedures.
Maintaining strict aseptic technique and preparing the operating room by setting up required equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies for assigned cases.
Scrubbing and efficiently passing instruments and equipment to the surgical team during operations.
Pulling and breaking down cases, and preparing the operating room for the current schedule and following day’s needs.
Participating in on-call duties and performing additional related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Graduation from an accredited surgical technician program as required by state regulation of practice or policy.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred qualifications include one year of experience as a surgical technician and a recognized Surgical Technology Certification.
