As a Surgical Technician, you will demonstrate basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role, providing essential assistance during cardiovascular and general surgical procedures. Eligible candidates may qualify for a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining strict adherence to aseptic technique throughout assigned surgical cases.
- Setting up required equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies for scheduled procedures.
- Scrubbing and passing instruments, medications, and supplies during surgical operations.
- Pulling cases as needed and properly breaking down operating rooms at the conclusion of procedures.
- Preparing operating rooms and supplies for the current and following day’s schedule.
- Participating in on-call duties on an assigned, scheduled basis as required by unit needs.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited surgical technician program as required by state regulation of practice or policy.
- Experience: One year of experience as a surgical technician is preferred.
- Certifications: Current BLS certification is required; Surgical Technology Certification is preferred.
