Uneek Bending Co was established in 1964 and has grown into one of Australia’s leading specialists in bending, rolling, and welding solutions for precision engineering applications. With decades of industry experience, the company is recognised for delivering high-quality metal forming and fabrication services across a wide range of industries. We are currently seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our established team on a full-time basis in Victoria, Australia.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and repairing specialized tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in our precision engineering and metal forming processes. Working closely with our production and fabrication teams, you will ensure all tooling meets strict quality standards and operates efficiently to support our manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Manufacturing, modifying, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Operating a variety of workshop machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
- Conducting regular inspections and maintenance on existing tooling to prevent production downtime.
- Troubleshooting tooling issues and collaborating with team members to implement practical engineering solutions.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace in compliance with company occupational health and safety standards.
We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong mechanical aptitude and a relevant trade background in toolmaking or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
