We are currently seeking a Transformational Lead – Data Loss Prevention & Identity Defense to join our Cyber Security Operations (CSO) team. This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for driving innovation, modernization, and operational maturity across our data protection and identity-centric threat defense capabilities. You will lead emerging technology initiatives, expand existing security platforms, explore new tools and vendors, and champion automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and proactive risk mitigation strategies.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Driving the modernization of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Identity Defense capabilities by identifying opportunities to enhance, expand, or rationalize existing platforms.
- Leading the exploration, evaluation, and integration of emerging technologies, tools, techniques, and vendors to address evolving data loss and identity-based threats.
- Shaping future-state architectures for identity-centric threat defense and data protection, including ITDR-aligned capabilities.
- Spearheading initiatives to increase automation, reduce manual effort, and improve detection signal quality across workflows by leveraging AI, machine learning, and behavioral analytics.
- Performing advanced analysis and investigation of identity-based attacks and data misuse scenarios, such as account takeover, privilege escalation, insider risk, and anomalous behavior.
- Translating threat intelligence and risk insights into actionable controls, roadmap enhancements, and mitigation strategies aligned with enterprise policy and industry standards.
- Managing complex, multi-phase transformation initiatives from concept through execution, establishing success metrics, and influencing stakeholders across organizational boundaries without formal authority.
- Contributing to key risk indicators (KRIs), operational metrics, and executive-ready reporting that clearly articulate risk posture and impact.
Required qualifications and skills include:
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, featuring strong depth in Data Loss Prevention, Identity Security, or adjacent protection domains.
- Proven experience driving large-scale or transformational security initiatives from ideation to execution as an individual contributor.
- Strong understanding of modern DLP and identity defense architectures across cloud, endpoint, email, collaboration, and SaaS environments.
- Hands-on experience investigating identity-centric attacks and data misuse scenarios with a solid grasp of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Demonstrated ability to improve operational efficiency through automation, orchestration, and workflow optimization.
- The ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and drive outcomes without a people-manager remit, complemented by excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Additional details for this position:
- Location options include Denver, CO; Washington, DC; and Chicago, IL.
- Schedule: 1st shift, 40 hours per week.
- Salary Range: $140,000.00 to $200,000.00 annualized salary, with offers determined based on experience, education, and skill set.
