Bupa Medical is seeking a dedicated and qualified Urgent Care GP to join the team at the Mackay Medical Hub on a full-time basis in the Mackay Region, Queensland. Mackay Medical Hub is a long-standing healthcare provider in the heart of Mackay, supporting the local community since 1976. Following the March 2026 opening of our brand-new Urgent Care Clinic, we are expanding our medical team to deliver high-quality, non-emergency acute care in modern facilities supported by strong clinical resources.
This is an exciting opportunity to partner with Bupa within a supportive, professionally managed environment. In this role, you will be empowered to focus entirely on delivering excellent patient care and clinical outcomes, while our experienced administrative and support teams handle the operational details of the practice.
Key responsibilities and attributes for the role typically include:
- Providing high-standard, non-emergency acute medical care and treatment to walk-in and urgent care patients
- Conducting thorough clinical assessments, diagnoses, and developing appropriate management plans
- Collaborating effectively with nursing staff, practice managers, and fellow healthcare professionals within the hub
- Maintaining accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient medical records using modern practice management systems
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to best-practice guidelines in urgent care medicine
