Halfords, the UK’s largest automotive service, maintenance, and repair business, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis in Grange, St. Andrews. In this role, you will work a 5-day week carrying out a range of servicing, maintenance, and repair work on customer vehicles. You will play a key part in ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and quality standards, diagnosing faults efficiently, and completing replacement work with precision.
We are looking for a dedicated professional who brings existing hands-on experience in vehicle servicing and repair. Whether you are an experienced mechanic or an established technician, you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced garage environment and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
This full-time position offers a competitive base salary of £32,000 per year, backed by an uncapped monthly bonus scheme that provides average additional earnings of £6,700 per year, bringing your total on-target earnings up to £38,700 per year. Additional benefits include opportunities to earn extra through our refer-a-friend scheme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs
- Accurately diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Replacing worn or damaged parts in line with company and manufacturer standards
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and customers regarding repair work
