The Australian Red Cross is seeking dedicated individuals for an ongoing part-time volunteer role as a Retail Donation Transporter based in East Perth, servicing the Perth CBD area. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to your community, help improve lives, and make a positive local impact while enhancing your personal skills and knowledge.
In this role, you will assist with the transportation and handling of retail donations. To ensure you are well-prepared, driver safety training modules will need to be completed as part of your onboarding. Because this is a hands-on transportation role, certain operational requirements must be met by all applicants.
Key responsibilities and requirements for the role include:
- Safely operating a manual 1-tonne van to transport donated goods
- Loading and unloading furniture, stock boxes, and donation bags, which requires the physical ability to lift and handle heavy items
- Completing required driver safety training modules
- Committing to a minimum of 4 hours per week, with availability for either part-day or full-day shifts
