ISS Facility Services is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in the position of Work Safety Officer (Escort Driver) at Melbourne Airport, employed on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity for safety-conscious professionals looking to contribute to dynamic airport operations in the Melbourne region.
As a Work Safety Officer with ISS Facility Services, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring safe and compliant airside operations in line with ISS, APAM, and CASA standards. Your day-to-day duties will involve coordinating and managing escorts across the airfield, identifying and reporting any operational faults or incidents, maintaining safety equipment and vehicles, and strictly following all established safety procedures and protocols.
To be successful in this casual role, candidates will need to demonstrate strong communication skills, situational awareness, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to coordinate clearly with various stakeholders on the ground, maintain accurate documentation, and respond promptly to changing operational needs while upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Key responsibilities of the Work Safety Officer (Escort Driver) include:
- Ensuring all airside operations comply strictly with ISS, APAM, and CASA standards and guidelines
- Managing and conducting safe airside escorts for vehicles and personnel
- Promptly identifying, logging, and reporting any operational faults, hazards, or incidents
- Performing routine checks and maintaining designated vehicles in optimal working condition
- Following all airport and company procedures to maintain a secure and safe working environment
- Communicating effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders
