Catholic Education in the Diocese of Cairns is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join the school community as a Year 5 Classroom Teacher at St Joseph’s School, Atherton, with the position located in Manoora, Cairns. This is a part-time, fixed-term contract opportunity for Semester 2, scheduled to run from 11 July 2025 to 15 January 2027. The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience, ranging from a Graduate rate of $86,660 FTE Gross per annum to an Experienced Proficient Teacher rate of $126,795 FTE Gross per annum, complemented by a 12.75% superannuation contribution. As a Year 5 classroom teacher, your key responsibilities will include:

Planning, preparing, and delivering effective, high-quality learning and teaching programs tailored to the needs of primary students
Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages student participation and personal growth
Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and reporting on academic development
Collaborating effectively with colleagues, school leadership, and parents or guardians to support student well-being and educational outcomes
Participating in professional development and broader school community activities in alignment with Catholic education values
