Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Primary Care (Outpatient) – Tucson, Arizona

Optum AZ is currently seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient Primary Care team in Tucson, Arizona. In this full-time role, you will practice outpatient primary care at the full scope of your license within a supportive clinical environment. Primary responsibilities include managing an average of 18 to 22 patients per day across 36 patient contact hours each week. Operating within clinic hours from Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a four-day work week may be considered. You will be supported by a dedicated Medical Assistant team for rooming, as well as onsite lab and pharmacy resources. Daily clinical workflows are streamlined using the EPIC EMR system, complete with Dragon dictation and AI notetaking capabilities. Required qualifications for this position include:

• Unrestricted Arizona Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or the ability to obtain it by the start date
• National Nurse Practitioner certification through AANC or AANP, or Physician Assistant national certification through NCCPA
• Current DEA registration or the ability to obtain by the start date
• Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain by the start date

Preferred qualifications that enhance your candidacy include previous experience in outpatient primary care or a Value-Based Care model, knowledge of HEDIS measures, CAHPS, HOS, and HCC Coding documentation, proficiency in Medicare Annual Wellness visits, and familiarity with EMR systems and technology, with EPIC preferred.

The annual salary range for this full-time role is $104,500 to $156,000, determined by factors such as local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications. Comprehensive benefits and perks include:
