Lead, Program Management

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead, Program Management to oversee the cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs and projects in support of our GPS business area. In this pivotal role, you will drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives—including orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow—for new, continuing, or current programs. You will direct the work of employees assigned to the program across technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas while serving as the primary customer contact for program activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction.
• Participating in contract negotiations, proposal preparation, business and program plan development, and Statements of Work (SOW), while maintaining full accountability for profit and loss.
• Establishing milestones, monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, and identifying solutions for program problems such as resource allocation or specification changes.
• Maintaining constant awareness of program objectives, risks, issues, changes, and current performance status to ensure customer commitments are met.
• Analyzing problems extensively to determine root causes and ensuring compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines.
• Communicating effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and major customers, requiring approximately 30% annual travel.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Requires either a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, or a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 7 years of prior program management, proposal management, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) experience.
• Minimum 3 years of aerospace and defense industry experience, including DoD-related programs.
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading development, transition to production, and full-rate production programs.
• Active Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are strictly required for this position.
• Preferred qualifications include formal training in Project Management, a PMP certification, and advanced knowledge of Risk and Opportunity Analysis, Integrated Master Schedules, and Critical Path Analysis.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C., Denver, or NYC areas is $127,500.00 to $236,500.00. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $110,500.00 to $205,500.00. Final offer amounts may vary based on factors such as experience and geographic location.
