Uber is seeking a Senior Marketplace Ops Manager to join the APAC team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for strategy and governance regarding capital allocation for total APAC investments across countries, cities, products, and verticals, including rider and driver operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Capital Allocation APAC, you will help align and share investment strategies that demonstrate optimal spend allocation and take-rate innovations to hold and gain competitive positions across our markets. You will develop a deep understanding of investment efficiencies and collaborate closely with vertical leads, finance, and strategy and planning teams.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Managing and optimizing the investment allocation framework that automates outcomes based on business principles and competitive position status across the APAC region.
- Partnering with country teams and finance teams to identify investment and pullback opportunities and determine regional requirements.
- Collaborating with analytics and finance teams to deliver optimal capital allocation across countries.
- Handling program management and budget allocation automation for marketplace improvements.
- Empowering country teams to scale local initiatives and efficiency opportunities to drive the next frontier of growth in APAC.
- Scaling local and global best practices regarding capital allocation across the region.
Successful candidates will bring the following qualifications and skills:
- 5+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or business leadership, ideally with exposure to mobility, fleets, and/or logistics.
- A strong analytical foundation featuring proficiency in SQL, predictive modeling, and a solid grasp of financial metrics and P&L drivers.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking within a complex operating environment.
- A data-driven mindset combined with top-tier stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong initiative and program management capabilities to execute multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
- A proven ability to balance growth, profitability, and marketplace health through data-driven insights.
