An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated healthcare professional to join the team at St George Hospital as a Nurse Unit Manager Level 3 (NUM3). This temporary full-time position is based within the Outpatient Department and Day Medical Infusion Centre and is available until 18 April 2027.
As part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD), you will contribute to a vision of delivering exceptional care and healthier lives to the community. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the effective management, coordination, and clinical leadership of nursing staff within your designated units, ensuring high standards of patient safety, quality care, and efficient daily operations.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Providing clinical and operational leadership to nursing and support staff within the Outpatient Department and Day Medical Infusion Centre.
- Managing human and physical resources efficiently to meet patient care needs and service delivery targets.
- Ensuring adherence to professional nursing standards, hospital policies, and relevant healthcare legislation.
- Fostering a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment focused on continuous quality improvement and patient-centered care.
- Facilitating ongoing staff education, professional development, and performance management.
Employment is offered on a temporary full-time basis, working 38 hours per week. The remuneration is $140,793.44 per annum, plus applicable superannuation. Applications close on 10 May 2026.
