Witherslack Group is currently seeking a dedicated Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis, working 4 days per week. This role is based across two of our children’s homes in Hendon, Sunderland, where you will play a crucial part in our integrated model supporting young people with specialist education and care needs.
In this rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to experience those huge small victories by helping young people achieve positive changes in their lives. You will work closely with our specialized teams to provide essential therapeutic support within a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities and focus areas for this role include:
- Delivering professional therapeutic support and interventions tailored to the needs of children and young people in our care.
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams across our specialist schools and children’s homes to ensure a joined-up approach.
- Contributing knowledge and understanding around complex trauma and related support needs.
- Documenting progress and engaging with colleagues to celebrate developmental milestones and positive outcomes.
We are looking for candidates who bring relevant professional therapeutic expertise to our team. While not strictly mandatory, having prior knowledge of sexual trauma including Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) would be desirable for this specific position.
