Clean Harbors is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable full-time Class A CDL Driver to join our team in West Sand Lake, Rensselaer County. In this important role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites. Specific vehicles operated may include tanker trucks, vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. This position features a competitive salary of $67,664 per year, along with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
As a key member of our field operations team, you will split your time between driving and performing essential non-driving duties both on and off customer sites. These tasks are directly associated with hazardous waste clean-up and industrial services. Key responsibilities for this full-time driving position typically include:
- Safely operating commercial motor vehicles, including tankers and specialized vacuum equipment, in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Completing both driving and hands-on non-driving duties related to hazardous waste clean-up and environmental services at various customer locations.
- Loading, securing, and unloading materials securely and efficiently while adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Maintaining accurate logs, paperwork, and records as required by company policy and transportation regulations.
- Communicating professionally with customers, team members, and dispatch personnel regarding daily job status and site requirements.
- Participating actively in ongoing safety training and maintaining a strong safety-first culture on every job site.
