Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division for a full-time, 40-hour per week opportunity based in Hilderstone, Stone, serving the Coventry area. This is a unique chance to be part of a new era of mobile repair, working away from traditional roadside rescue and focusing instead on dedicated service, maintenance, and repair work directly in the field.
In this role, your core hours will typically run from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a standard rota of 1 in 4 Saturdays. We offer a competitive earning potential with on-target earnings of up to £52,000 per year, which includes opportunities through a guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary to £44,385, alongside additional overtime and performance-related bonus opportunities.
Key responsibilities for this mobile position generally include:
- Traveling to customer locations to perform high-quality vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Completing thorough vehicle inspections and safety checks to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintaining accurate records of all work completed and parts used.
- Delivering exceptional customer service by explaining repair work clearly and professionally.
- Adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines while working in mobile environments.
