Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Evaluating patients’ physical conditions, functional limitations, and mobility needs to develop effective, personalized treatment plans.
- Administering comprehensive physical therapy treatments, exercises, and therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring strength, function, and movement.
- Educating patients, families, and caregivers on proper techniques, home exercise programs, and ongoing safety and injury prevention strategies.
- Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Documenting patient progress, treatment outcomes, and ongoing care plans accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
