We are seeking a Construction Coordinator (National Contract) to join our team in supporting home office construction coordination and field coordination primarily on power projects. In this vital role, you will serve as a key link between Construction and other project functions, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across engineering, procurement, contracts, and project controls to optimize project delivery.
Major responsibilities include:
- Providing expert construction recommendations on multiple disciplines and functional integration.
- Facilitating the development and execution of approved constructability ideas, plans, and the Constructability Review Matrix.
- Organizing input for the Constructability Program process and schedule to support estimating efforts during project development and the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) phase.
- Supporting project proposals, construction indirect planning, constructability reviews, safety in design, and value engineering.
- Advising engineering and procurement teams with construction input to improve Total Installed Cost (TIC), maximize modularization, and incorporate preassemblies.
- Advising engineering on the latest construction technologies and local practices to optimize cost and schedule.
- Developing and delivering constructability awareness training and supporting enterprise processes, procedures, and quality management systems.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A recognized degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, or 20 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven construction experience in combined cycle power projects.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple nationalities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of all phases of construction engineering across various disciplines.
- Prior experience working in a field engineering or field supervision position supporting direct-hire work or subcontracts is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading drawings and interpreting designs, specifications, industry standards, and codes.
- Experience in project early works, temporary construction facilities development, and site set-up.
- Familiarity with tools and software related to construction planning, proposals, execution, and monitoring.
- Ability to travel to domestic and international job sites on short-term or long-term assignments as needed.
