AMR is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B) to join our team on a full-time basis in the Deer Park and Bay Shore areas of Suffolk County. In this vital role, you will be responsible for responding to both emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance, providing prompt and professional care to patients in their time of need.
As an EMT-Basic with AMR, your primary duties will include assessing patients, administering basic life support and medical treatment in accordance with local protocols and scope of practice, and safely transporting individuals to appropriate healthcare facilities. You will also be expected to maintain equipment, complete accurate patient care reports, and deliver exceptional customer service to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
We are looking for professionals who take pride in their clinical readiness and community service. Key requirements for this position include:
- Valid EMT-Basic certification
- Current state driver’s license and a clean driving record
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
The starting salary for this full-time position is listed at $29,482 per year, with starting pay rates potentially scaled upward based on your years of relevant experience.
