Outcomes First Group is seeking a dedicated Family Liaison Officer and Attendance Lead to join the team at Underley Garden School, located near Helsington, Kendal (LA6 2DZ). This is a permanent, term-time-only position offering a great work-life balance with standard daytime working hours.
In this role, you will work 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The position comes with an annual salary of £32,500 (not pro rata) and includes a travel allowance. Please note that this opportunity is for UK applicants only, as sponsorship is not available, and the expected start date is September 2026.
As the Family Liaison Officer and Attendance Lead, you will serve as the crucial connection between home and school. Your day-to-day focus will involve supporting families, building positive relationships, and monitoring and promoting strong student attendance. Typical responsibilities for this role include:
- Acting as the primary point of contact and bridge of communication between families and the school staff
- Monitoring student attendance patterns, investigating absences, and implementing strategies to improve engagement
- Working closely with parents and carers to address barriers to attendance and participation
- Collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to safeguard and support student well-being
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting on attendance data and family engagement initiatives
