St. Peter’s Health Partners is seeking to recruit a dedicated full-time Nursing Home Medical Director and Physician to lead and provide exceptional care at our nonprofit skilled nursing facilities within the Capital Region of Upstate New York. As the Medical Director and Physician, your core responsibilities will involve providing comprehensive medical oversight and direct patient care within our skilled nursing facilities. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, therapists, and administrative staff, to ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence, resident safety, and regulatory compliance. You will play a vital leadership role in guiding clinical protocols, supporting staff education, and fostering a compassionate, patient-centered healing environment for our residents.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Providing expert medical care, evaluations, and ongoing treatment planning for geriatric residents in a skilled nursing setting.
- Serving as the Medical Director to oversee clinical policies, quality assurance, and adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Collaborating effectively with nursing staff, social workers, and allied health professionals to coordinate comprehensive resident care.
- Participating in clinical meetings, family conferences, and quality improvement initiatives within the facility.
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
This full-time position is based in Menands, within Albany County, offering the chance to work with The Eddy, an innovative nonprofit provider known for delivering a comprehensive range of senior services across the Capital Region. The annual salary for this position is $147,526 per year.
