Ocado Logistics is currently seeking dedicated and reliable HGV Drivers to join the team on a full-time basis in Aveley, South Ockendon. Promoted as one of the best HGV opportunities available, this role involves the safe and efficient delivery and collection of products to and from a variety of locations, strictly adhering to all company policies and procedures.
As an LGV driver with Ocado Logistics, your day-to-day responsibilities will typically include:
- Safely operating Large Goods Vehicles to complete scheduled delivery and collection routes
- Conducting thorough pre- and post-operation vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations
- Accurately completing all necessary delivery documentation and paperwork in a timely manner
- Communicating effectively with transport management and customer locations regarding delivery progress
- Maintaining high standards of road safety and adhering to all driving legislation and company guidelines
This position requires flexibility to work a varied shift pattern that includes nights, late shifts, early shifts, and weekends. Your minimum contracted hours will be 32 hours per week. However, because routes are assigned for up to 12.5 hours per day, you should regularly expect to carry out additional hours to complete your scheduled runs.
