Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division and be part of a new era of mobile repair. While the RAC is widely known for roadside rescue, this is a different kind of role focused on our Service, Maintenance & Repair operations based around Melbourn, Royston, and the Stevenage area.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive base salary of £40,178, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000. You will also have access to a guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
Core responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Traveling to customer locations to perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and accurately
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and adhering to safety guidelines
- Providing excellent customer service and communicating repair requirements clearly
- Managing your mobile workspace and inventory effectively
The standard working week is 40 hours, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, alongside a 1 in 4 Saturday working pattern.
