Banner Health is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in the Department of Neurology. In collaboration with The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and Banner – University Medicine Tucson, this role focuses on providing exceptional inpatient care within the Neurocritical Care Unit at Banner University Medical Center Tucson (BUMCT).
BUMCT is a Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and a designated Level I Trauma Center, offering a fast-paced and highly professional environment for specialized clinical practice. The ideal candidate brings prior inpatient and acute care experience to support complex neurological patient needs within our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key responsibilities and professional expectations for this position typically include:
- Providing comprehensive, direct patient care for individuals in the Neurocritical Care Unit.
- Collaborating closely with neurologists, intensivists, nursing staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
- Conducting detailed physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing individualized patient treatment plans.
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting clinical interventions in a timely manner.
- Communicating effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, prognoses, and ongoing care strategies.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.
This opportunity is located in Cortaro, Pima County, within the greater Tucson medical community. The annual salary associated with this position is $14,755 per year.
