UPMC Southwestern PA is actively recruiting dedicated Orthopedic Surgeons with specialized interests in areas such as shoulder, total joint, foot and ankle, or adult reconstructive surgery to join our growing team across Western and Central Pennsylvania, as well as surrounding regions including parts of Maryland and New York.
As a surgeon within our world-class health system, you will have the opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Depending on the specific facility, position highlights may include flexible call schedules with or without trauma coverage, robust Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support, and opportunities to serve as team physicians for local Division 1 universities.
Key responsibilities generally associated with this role include:
- Providing comprehensive orthopedic surgical and clinical care to patients within your area of specialty.
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including APPs, nursing staff, and fellow specialists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participating in on-call rotations as determined by the specific hiring location.
- Engaging in community outreach or athletic partnerships where applicable, such as local collegiate sports coverage.
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with health system standards.
Compensation and benefits for this position include a designated annual salary of $75,598, alongside additional location-specific highlights and opportunities for professional growth within a major healthcare network.
