ME Medical Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Palliative Care Consultant for a full-time position based out of a regional hospital in Tasmania, serving patients across the facility and within the wider community. This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment.
In this role, you will provide expert palliative care services, balancing clinical responsibilities between the main hospital setting and community outreach. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care, manage complex symptoms, and support patients and their families through challenging times.
Key responsibilities and features of the role include:
- Delivering high-quality specialist palliative medical care in both inpatient hospital wards and community settings
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary medical, nursing, and allied health teams
- Contributing to a positive team atmosphere with a flexible roster that supports work-life balance
- Participating in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and supporting the education of junior staff where appropriate
To be considered for this position, applicants must hold appropriate medical qualifications and specialist recognition. Candidates with Substantially Comparable RACP assessments will also be considered for this opportunity.
