Optum is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team in New Holland, Pennsylvania, as part of the Mindful Changes Counseling of Pennsylvania and the Optum Behavioral Care family. In this role, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions using comprehensive, evidence-based approaches while receiving strong organizational and operational support from our network. Primary responsibilities for this position include:
- Utilize evidence-based screening tools and diagnostic criteria to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
- Collaborate with clinicians on patient care to provide supportive care to shared patients.
- Communicate effectively with referral sources, such as physicians and schools, when working with shared patients.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications per established protocols, monitoring efficacy, side effects, and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and clinical documentation in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Compensation for this role generally ranges from $104,500 to $156,000, supported by base pay and eligibility for quarterly incentive bonuses, with total cash compensation based on factors including local labor markets, education, and experience. To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Clear, active, and unrestricted PMHNP license in the state of Pennsylvania or the ability to attain one.
- Board certified as a PMHNP-BC by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or eligible for board certification.
- Active DEA registration.
- 3+ years of clinical experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing in an outpatient setting.
Preferred qualifications include prior experience providing patient education on medication adherence and aftercare, working with diverse age groups ranging from children to geriatrics, and utilizing electronic health records and professional communication tools.
