Ascension is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for a Pediatric Travel position based in North Laurel, within Prince George’s County. This full-time opportunity is part of the Associate Travel Program within the pediatric department at St Agnes Hospital, operating on a day shift schedule with 36 hours per week.
As a Pediatric Travel Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care and supporting young patients and their families during their healthcare journey. This role combines clinical expertise with the flexibility of travel nursing, allowing you to bring your specialized pediatric skills to a supportive and mission-driven hospital environment.
Key responsibilities for this role typically include:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct nursing care for pediatric patients
- Monitoring patient vitals, administering medications, and managing treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Educating patients and their families on post-treatment care, disease management, and wellness strategies
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records in compliance with hospital standards
- Adhering strictly to safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and pediatric nursing best practices
Compensation for this full-time position is established at an annual rate of $65,752, with associated travel program rates and benefits as applicable.
