Shipwrights Qld is seeking a skilled and dedicated Shipwright/Boat builder to join our close-knit team on a full-time basis. Based at Redland City Marina in the Brisbane region, our crew consists of four experienced tradespersons delivering high-standard marine construction, modification, and repair services. Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. The offering includes a competitive annual salary ranging from A$70,000 to A$80,000.
In this role, you will apply your craftsmanship to a diverse range of vessels, working on both pleasure craft and traditional or modern boats. We are looking for a hands-on professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional finishes and quality workmanship across all aspects of boat building and marine maintenance.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Executing fibreglass composite modifications and repairs on pleasure craft
- Performing timber construction and repairs on both traditional and modern vessels
- Completing fine timber fit-outs to a high standard
- Carrying out gelcoat colour matching and associated repairs
- Undertaking fairing, paint preparation, and spray painting
