As a Speech Pathologist joining our team, you will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering comprehensive speech-language pathology services aimed at improving communication, swallowing, and cognitive functions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to support patient recovery and enhance overall quality of life.
Key responsibilities and professional expectations for this role typically include:
- Conducting thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Designing and implementing personalized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific recovery goals.
- Documenting patient progress accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating effectively with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and family members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Educating patients and their families on communication strategies, swallowing safety, and home exercise programs.
