Optum is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our growing Primary Care team. In this outpatient primary care position, you will manage a schedule from Monday through Friday, handling office consults, annual wellness visits, follow-up appointments, and general in-office procedures. You will be supported by a dedicated Medical Assistant who assists with rooming patients, taking vitals, processing prescription refills, and managing follow-up logistics. The role involves caring for a diverse patient demographic ranging from pediatric to geriatric individuals.

Key responsibilities and practice details include:

  • Conducting outpatient primary care consultations and follow-up appointments with dedicated time allocations
  • Performing routine annual visits and general in-office medical procedures
  • Collaborating with support staff, including Medical Assistants, to ensure efficient daily patient flow
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation for all patient encounters
  • Engaging in a team-oriented environment focused on the Quadruple Aim and community health advancement

Qualifications required for this position include:

  • Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident
  • Completion of 2+ years of residency training in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med/Peds prior to the start date
  • Postgraduate Training License or Unrestricted California State Medical License required prior to the start date
  • Current paid-status DEA certificate required prior to the start date
  • Current ACLS certificate required prior to the start date
  • Current PALS certificate required where applicable prior to the start date

Compensation for this role generally ranges from $226,000 to $366,000, consisting of a guaranteed base salary plus incentives based on quality and performance. Total compensation is determined by factors such as local labor markets, education, and work experience. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
