We are seeking an experienced Engineering Planner to join our team on the Eva Copper Mine Project, a greenfield resource project in Queensland, Australia. As part of our extraordinary team, you will help deliver inspiring projects that create lasting positive impacts for communities and economies worldwide.
As the Engineering Planner, you will collaborate closely with the project team to update and maintain the detailed engineering control schedule, run regular schedule status meetings, and provide essential schedule analysis and critical path reviews. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the project stays on track and on schedule.
Major Responsibilities:
- Updates and maintains the L3 detailed engineering control schedule.
- Develops and maintains the engineering progress and performance tool for the Execution phase, ensuring it is fully reconciled with current scope and budget.
- Integrates engineering interdisciplinary schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences.
- Works with engineering discipline leads to maintain accurate activity relationships and durational estimates.
- Develops and updates required job/hour expenditure and forecast curves, assisting with effort leveling decisions and person-hours reviews.
- Performs job-hour resource loading using Primavera P6.
- Updates the schedule at regular intervals with actual and forecast values based on updated budgets and earned value data.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with 6-8 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in L1, L3, and L5 schedule development and scheduling across multiple engineering consultancy or similar projects.
- Skilled in the usage of Primavera P6, including resource loading.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction work processes within the mining industry or large-scale industrial projects.
- Experience working in EPC or EPCM environments.
- Previous experience monitoring and reviewing subcontractor schedule-related deliverables and conducting impact analyses.
- Working rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
