We are META is currently seeking a talented Android Developer to join our growing team on a permanent or contractor basis in Portugal. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a full remote capacity, collaborating with our diverse network of clients and our dedicated community of consultants.
At WE ARE META, we focus on finding the perfect match between our consultants, affectionately known as “Rhinos,” and our clients. As an Android Developer, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality mobile applications and contributing to various exciting software development projects.
Key responsibilities for this role typically include:
- Designing, building, and maintaining advanced applications for the Android platform.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Working with outside data sources and APIs to integrate necessary functionalities.
- Continuously discovering, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing application performance to ensure a seamless user experience.
What we are looking for in a candidate:
- Proven professional experience in Android development and mobile application architecture.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and the Android SDK.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and modern third-party libraries and integrations.
- A solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to thrive in a remote working environment.
