Key responsibilities for this position typically include:
- Evaluating patient conditions, functional abilities, and home or work environments to establish individualized treatment plans.
- Designing and implementing therapeutic activities and interventions aimed at improving upper extremity function, daily living skills, and cognitive abilities.
- Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educating patients and their families on adaptive equipment, safety measures, and home exercise programs to support continued progress after discharge.
- Documenting patient evaluations, treatment progress, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
