AMR is currently seeking dedicated and qualified healthcare professionals for a full-time Paramedic position based in the Danbury area, serving the Bridgeport community and surrounding Fairfield County region. As a Paramedic with AMR, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, advanced pre-hospital patient care, assessing emergency situations, and transporting patients safely to medical facilities. Team members in this role must maintain professional standards, operate emergency vehicles safely, and collaborate effectively with fellow crew members and local first responders.
This full-time position comes with an annual salary of $25,750, alongside opportunities for additional compensation and incentives as outlined in the company’s comprehensive total rewards structure. Full-time team members may qualify for an available $20,000 sign-on bonus tied to a two-year commitment, as well as shift differentials of $2 per hour for overnight and weekend shifts. Furthermore, employees have access to paid, hospital-led training to become certified “Blood Paramedic” professionals, gaining experience in whole-blood administration.
Key responsibilities and qualifications for this role typically include:
- Responding promptly to emergency and non-emergency dispatch calls
- Performing thorough patient assessments and administering appropriate advanced life support interventions
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic patient care reports (ePCR)
- Ensuring that the ambulance, equipment, and supplies are fully checked, sanitized, and operational at the start of every shift
- Communicating professionally with hospital staff, patients, and family members
- Holding and maintaining valid state Paramedic licensure, appropriate driver’s licenses, and relevant life support certifications
