Amazon is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer II to join our Fulfillment Optimization team in España. If you want to build the systems that keep millions of packages moving on time across Amazon’s vast transportation network, this is the opportunity for you. We are looking for a dedicated engineer to help us design, build, and operate the production infrastructure behind a system that tells fulfillment centers and trucks exactly how fast packages should flow — every hour, across thousands of routes.
In this role, you will own software that processes dozens of complex inputs, transforms them into reliable signals, and delivers critical operational data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve challenging technical problems at scale, influencing the architecture and implementation of high-performance distributed systems.
Key responsibilities in this role typically include:
- Designing, developing, and deploying scalable software solutions for fulfillment and transportation optimization.
- Writing clean, maintainable, and robust code to process complex data inputs and generate reliable operational signals.
- Collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and other software engineers to define system requirements and technical roadmaps.
- Maintaining operational excellence by monitoring system performance, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring high availability.
- Participating in code reviews and mentoring peers to uphold high engineering standards.
